Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future,
concentrate the mind on the present moment

Experience is not what happens to you
it is what you do with what happens to you
- Julian Huxley -
I am a marionette on strings
I move at the slightest touch
I respond to every whisper and word you say
My life is at your finger tips
All that I do
Is at your will
As I dance the lifeless dance of the possessed
I become you
I’m your servant, your slave
For you are the keeper of my soul
I am YOUR marionette
You use me when you need to
And throw me aside when you’re done
My life was carved out for me
For my fate, I can no longer run
The force has overcome me
I am tired of pleasing you day by day
I try to fight back with all the power I have
To only fall, fall, fall
Way….down
I am a lifeless marionette
The colors of your soul imprinted in my mind
Why did I ever think you could love me? Oh why!
You start carving more just like me
And with the move of your hand they will do anything
Now I lay on the floor
Broken pieces of my body surrounding
With worn out strings knotted and torn
I was a marionette on strings
I moved at the slightest touch
One day I decided to fight back
And now-
I am no one
My life…. is done

If there is anything a man can do
well, I say let him do it.
Give him a chance
